New website, no traffic: 7 UK services that handle launch content and links
Seven UK services that write launch content, earn links or both for a new website, scored on a published five-criterion rubric covering scope, prices, contracts, reporting and entry cost.
What to take away
- A new site gets found when search engines discover it through links and decide its pages are worth indexing. Content and links are the two levers you can buy.
- We scored seven UK services on a published rubricscope, price transparency, contract terms, reporting and entry cost.
- Scores measure what each company publishes about itself, not the quality of its work.
- One agency publishes monthly package prices with articles and links included. Two other routes publish per-piece or per-project buying options.
Why does a new website sit at zero?
Google's own guide to how Search works says Google discovers new pages by following links from pages it already knows, or through a submitted sitemap. It also says Googlebot does not crawl every page it discovers, and indexing is not guaranteed.
The same guide states that Google does not accept payment to crawl a site more often or to rank it higher. So what you can buy for a launch is the work: pages worth indexing, and mentions on other sites that point to them. If you launched without a plan for either, a launch review checklist is a useful first step.
How many new sites are competing for attention?
Plenty. The ONS business demography release, published in November 2025, counted about 317,000 business births in the UK in 2024, a birth rate of 11.1%, among roughly 2.9 million active businesses. A new firm's site enters search results alongside rivals that may have years of links behind them.
That makes the brief more important than the budget. Check whether your web design quote for a small business covers any content beyond the core pages. Launch content and links can easily end up among the costs that get left out of a build.
The scoring rubric
Each service gets a score from 1 to 5 on five criteria, based only on its own website as read in October 2026. The weighted total is out of 5.
| Criterion | Weight | What earns a 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | 25% | Writes launch content and builds or earns links |
| Price transparency | 20% | Publishes prices or package figures |
| Contract terms | 15% | States terms such as month-to-month or per-order buying |
| Reporting | 20% | Describes report frequency and what is measured |
| Entry cost | 20% | Offers a small, published starting point for a new site |
Where a site says nothing on a criterion, it scores low. That reflects missing information, not poor practice, so ask before you rule anyone out. Paid links of any kind must be marked as paid under Google's spam policies, so ask each provider how it handles that.
Scores at a glance
| # | Service | Scope | Prices | Contract | Reporting | Entry cost | Weighted total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Visionary Marketing | 5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 4.40 |
| 2 | Get A Copywriter | 2 | 5 | 4 | 1 | 5 | 3.30 |
| 3 | Exposure Ninja | 5 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 2 | 2.95 |
| 4 | PeoplePerHour | 3 | 2 | 4 | 1 | 5 | 2.95 |
| 5 | Click Intelligence | 5 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 2.60 |
| 6 | Reboot Online | 4 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 2 | 2.55 |
| 7 | Screaming Frog | 5 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 2.20 |
1. Visionary Marketing: 4.40
Visionary Marketing is headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, with offices in London and Middlesbrough. Its Foundational package costs £1,300 a month and includes 2 articles and 2 to 4 links a month, an audit with light implementation and monthly reporting.
Every tier runs month to month, with notice at the end of the month and no exit fee listed. Entry cost scores 3 because £1,300 a month is a real commitment for a site with no revenue yet. The page shows the price of one higher tier inconsistently, so confirm the figure in writing.
2. Get A Copywriter: 3.30
Get A Copywriter, established in 2012 and part of Epiic, publishes a full UK rate card. A 400-word blog post costs £49 from a Pro writer or £108 from an Expert, and a 1,000-word post £123 or £269. It also sells SEO copywriting, blogging subscriptions and prepaid bundles, with a money-back guarantee.
Scope scores 2 because the page mentions neither link building nor publishing. Contract terms score 4 because you buy per order or in prepaid bundles. It fits a launch where you need the core articles written and plan to earn links another way. No reporting is described.
3. Exposure Ninja: 2.95
Exposure Ninja, registered as Exposure Trading Ltd with offices in London and Nottingham, covers content marketing, digital PR, link building and copywriting, plus Shopify and WordPress builds. That means it can quote for a site and its launch content together, which scores 5 on scope.
Its reporting focuses on revenue rather than vanity metrics, with dashboards and commentary. No prices or contract terms are published; NinjaFlex, sold as flexible monthly development hours, is the only hint on commitment. Use our questions to ask before you sign to fill the gaps.
4. PeoplePerHour: 2.95
PeoplePerHour is a freelance marketplace where buyers hire freelancers, buy fixed-price offers or request proposals. It says 60% of its freelancers and clients are UK-based and cites 3 million rated freelancers. Content writing and SEO are among its most popular categories.
Entry cost scores 5 and contract terms 4 because you can buy a single piece of work. Prices score 2: fixed-price offers exist, but the homepage shows no figures or buyer fees. Reporting scores 1 because none is described; you agree it with each freelancer. Our comparison of agency and freelance routes sets out the trade-offs.
5. Click Intelligence: 2.60
Click Intelligence has offices in London and Cheltenham and says it has delivered results since 2013. It sells link building, digital PR and content writing, along with SEO and paid media. The site promises full transparency and dedicated account managers, and it reports on return on investment as standard.
No prices appear on the homepage or the link building page, although the site points to an online shop and packages. Contract terms are not stated. Check the records that keep a commission honest before you agree a scope.
6. Reboot Online: 2.55
Reboot Online is based in London N12 and offers digital PR, link building, resource and data pages, SEO and generative engine optimisation. It sends end-of-month reports and says it can give guaranteed KPIs, such as link outcomes.
The firm is fully remote and works a four-day week. No prices or contract terms are published, which pulls its score down. A guaranteed outcome is worth having in writing, together with how it is measured; our measurement guide for buyers explains what to ask.
7. Screaming Frog: 2.20
Screaming Frog describes itself as a UK-based agency offering content marketing, link building, digital PR, digital copywriting and technical SEO. It also makes the SEO Spider and Log File Analyser tools, which are separate products.
Scope scores 5, but the agency pages we read publish no prices, contract terms or reporting details. That does not mean the information is unavailable, only that a new-site owner has to request it. Run the same vendor due diligence checks you would use for a build partner.
How should a new site use these scores?
Start with what you cannot do yourself. If you can write, a link-focused service or a freelancer may be enough. If you cannot, a writing service or a package with both is the safer route. Compare totals only within the same scope.
Whatever you choose, keep launch content on your own domain and decide how it will be promoted. Our note on owned content, paid search or direct email helps set that order before you spend.
Common questions
How long before a new site gets traffic?
None of the seven publishes a timeline for a new domain, and Google says indexing is not guaranteed. Treat any fixed promise with caution.
Is it worth buying links before the content exists?
Links need a page to point to. It usually makes sense to write the core pages first, then build links to the pages that answer real questions.
